Who we are

Leapers is curated and managed by Foxlark Strategy Limited, a company registered in the UK and Wales. We are registered with the ICO, and follow GDPR guidelines to manage your personal data when interacting with us.

How we collect and use your data

You are welcome to use our website and online resources without registration.

We use cookies in order to run Google Analytics - which helps us understand which pages on our site are popular. There is no personally identifiable information stored in our analytics or within these cookies, but technical data such as your IP address, time of day you visited the site, which pages you view, etc. may be stored.

If you choose to register with us, we will store your email address in order to contact you regarding being a member, joining our slack community and occasional newsletters. We do not use your email address for any other reasons other than being able to provide community updates and information regarding self-employment and mental health.

Your email address is stored within a software platform called 'Mailjet', who only have access to your email address in order to allow us to send you transactional and member communications.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.

We will retain your email address until you have requested that we remove your account or unsubscribe from our emails - this is so we can contact you for as long as you are a member of our community. We never share your email address with third-parties or other members within Leapers.

Accessing our Slack Community

If you choose to join our Slack community - you'll be sent an invite to create an account with slack.com. Slack.com is not affiliated with Leapers in any way, and you will enter into a direct agreement with Slack. Please ensure you read their terms and conditions to confirm you're happy with them using your data.

If you'd like to deactivate your Slack account, you can follow instructions on their website at any time: https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/help/articles/203953146-Deactivate-your-Slack-account

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by following the 'unsubscribe' link in any email you receive from us.

Your data is yours - if you'd like us to explain what data we hold on you, make changes to that data, or delete all of the data we hold on you, please email [email protected] and we will happily deal with your request.

If you're unhappy with how we're responding to your requests, you can raise a complaint with the ICO via their website: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
